While you have no doubt built an excellent foundation in the corporate / E&R law sector, it is important to critically assess whether continued opportunities exist for your personal development. Many of the teams through the city are getting increasingly crowded through the Associate / Senior ranks with fewer and fewer opportunities for progression.
This specialist corporate specialist is bucking that trend, with around half their partnership being sub-10 years out. That isn’t to say this is a low performance environment, in fact the opposite is the case, but those top-tier alumni that were getting blocked elsewhere have been given a chance and are making the most of it.
In line with the uptick in mid-cap and resources activity, further strength is needed in the 3-7 year bracket. Ideally, you will span corporate and E&R law, but those with a specialisation across either are encouraged to get in touch as the junior ranks can be assigned accordingly.
LISTED / MID-CAP
There is a strong line of listed company activity, with ASIC alumni able to direct and mentor further in this area, spanning capital raising, M&A and compliance. There is also advises in relation to listing itself. On the E&R front, there will be project development, asset acquisition / divestment, and agreements.
